December 18th 2008

So I am leaving the CCM tomorrow, which is 4 days earlier than I am supposed to leave. They boosted me up. Everybody else in my district is leaving Wednesday. It is just crazy. So my mission president doesn't speak any English so my CCM (MTC) president told me to have fun with my interview, because it is going to be all in espanol. I'm not ready for this, but I am definitely excited to jump in and be a real missionary. I'm becoming lazy and fat. lol.
So Saturday we went to the university to teach and we were talking to these two Dominican girls and they thought I was 26. How crazy is that?  I swear,  it's the hair cut that I got Friday. (The guy that did my hair literally cut it too a razor and cut some of my hair back and it was way short.)  My maestro told me that it was because of how mature I am now that I have been out for two months. I liked that answer and I'm going to keep telling myself that. Anyways, since I found out that I'm leaving early, everybody has been telling me what we are going to do once we get done from our missions. One missionary has a sweet old car that he is going to let me drive. Another is going to take me to this lake with like 5 waterfalls as long as I take him snow boarding. And a bunch of others just want me to find them wives - and I told them I'd do my best. Otherwise, it's just been study, study, study. I'm leaving early and I still have to pack. Love you all.

December 11th 2008

Hi:
So this week was sweet. One of our district goals this week was to love the Latinos in everything. So they aren't very good at basketball. Which is disappointing, because I was really hoping that we could get some good games going down. Anyway, gym has been pretty awesome though. lol.
We went to the University twice in the past week. We had the whole north mission come down for some orientation meeting of some kind and to go to the temple. The CCM [missionary training center] was packed with people and missionaries. So when they had their meetings, we got to go to the University. It was awesome, except school is out for Christmas break. Which is so weird. It's so hot but yet it is really close to Christmas time. If nobody told me, this Christmas would pass by with out me even knowing. But i didn't get to see Mikiana again this week because school was out which is no good cause now I will never know if she is reading the Book of Mormon that I gave her. Hopefully I'll see her again while I'm out tracting, which is in just 10 days. So excited....
My Spanish is getting so much better. I can sort of understand people now. lol. It's loco, but I give all the credit to the Holy Spirit cause I know how bad I am at Spanish. Some times I say things and it takes me a couple seconds to realize what I just said. But that's about it. No real crazy sweet stories. Just studying hard and doing my best to be righteous. Love ya. Bye.

December 4th 2008

Can I explain how awesome the CCM is in one email. I think not. But I will try. Saturday was way awesome. We went to the university to practise English and proselyte as much as possible. And guess who I saw again - Mickiana. It was awesome. The last time we talked, we just said; "hey, what's your phone number", because of how little Spanish we knew, but this time I sat down right next to her and handed her a Book of Mormon, bearing my testimony the best I could in really bad Spanish and committed her to read it. It was awesome. That could be my first baptism. But we are not allowed to do that while we are in the CCM and I don't know if I'll ever see her again after. Oh well. It was awesome though.
Other than that it hasn't been to interesting here. We are receiving the Latino missionaries this week so things are going to be way more hectic but fun. My spanish is definitely improving even if it is still really bad. And lets see.... Oh yes, yesterday an iron fell on one of my companions head. Luckily he will not be needing any stitches of any kind. Oh, and so 2 days ago, i think it was Monday, my district leader and I did our "prank of the week" on the teachers. Just to spice life up a little and to keep the district laughing so they don't get sick of each other. My districts becoming weird. Contention is starting to rise in our district. So me and another elder hid inside the window behind the curtains. (Which was extremely hard all by itself considering that the ledge for the window was only sticking out like an inch and we had to keep our butts from sticking out so far so that the teacher wouldn't see us.) But as soon as he came close to that window we jumped on top of him and he almost punched me in the face he was so scared - luckily he didn't. But that is about it. Talk to you next week. Love ya, bye.
